Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Shortening (room temperature)
  • 2 Tsp White Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix all the batter ingredients until well combined. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  • Mix 3 tablespoons of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and spread 3/4 of the mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.
  • Pour the rest of the batter into the loaf pan and spread the rest of the sugar mixture on top of the batter.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the bread comes out clean.
