Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 250 g unsalted butter
- 2 cup caster sugar
- 6 egg separated
- 250 g dark chocolate cooled melted
- 225 g almonds ground
- 1 green apple grated peeled
- 100 g dried breadcrumbs
- 30 g plain flour
- 300 ml cream whipped
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 30 g butter
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
Instruction
- Melt chocolate in a bowl over gently simmering water or in the microwave, cool.
- Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
- Add the egg yolks and then the cooled chocolate.
- Add ground almonds, breadcrumbs, flour and grated apple.
- Whip egg whites and fold in carefully but thoroughly.
- Pour into a 25 cm tin, greased and lined.
- Bake at 150C for approximately 1½ hours until firm to the touch in the middle and a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool in tin for 5 minutes to firm up and turn onto a cake rack to cool.
- Combine glaze ingredients over hot water or in microwave. Spread over cake.
