Ingredients
The following ingredients have 20 Servings
- 185 g butter
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 2 egg
- 1 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 425 g canned pie apple
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instruction
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.
- Stir in sifted flour, cinnamon and mixed spice.
- Spread half the cake mixture evenly over the base of a greased and floured 18 cm x 28 cm slice pan.
- Spread well drained pie apple over cake mixture and sprinkle with extra sugar.
- Spread the remaining cake mixture over the apple.
- Bake at 180C for 50 minutes.
- Allow to cool in pan and cut into squares.
