Ingredients

The following ingredients have 28 Servings
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened 100% cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup smooth creamy almond butter
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate (melted). For vegan option use Enjoy life dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp or .5oz gluten free single malt whiskey (see notes for alternative)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp butter extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup, honey, or agave nectar
  • Dash of sea salt
  • extra cocoa powder and coconut sugar for rolling

Instruction

  • In large bowl, add in all your dry ingredients. Then mix in your nut butter, and last the melted chocolate, maple syrup (or honey) and extracts. Mix well ( I use my hands) and roll into bite size balls. NOTE: If you are using a thicker honey, you might need to add more to get batter to stick. Maple syrup is thinner to work with.
  • Place in freezer to harden.
  • Once the bites have harden, coat the bites with extra cocoa and a coconut sugar if desired. Freeze or keep in refrigerator to maintain freshness.
