  • 1/2 tsp soybean paste (optional)
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)
  • 7 ounces tempeh
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp five-spice powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 10 ounces spaghetti or rice noodles
  • 2 cups baby spinach (or steamed/sautéed kale or pak choi)
  • for topping: roasted peanuts, cilantro, basil, or green onions
