Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1kg green prawns deveined shelled
- 60g butter
- 1 tbs curry powder
- 2 celery sticks chopped
- 1 onion diced
- 1/2 green capsicum diced
- 1 tomato chopped peeled
- 4 tbs plain flour
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 2 chicken stock cubes
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbs lemon juice
Instruction
- In a skillet, melt butter and add curry powder, celery, onion and capsicum.
- Saute gently for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Stir in flour, salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
- While stirring, gradually add water and milk, then add crumbled stock cube.
- Continue stirring until sauce boils and thickens.
- Reduce heat, add sugar and lemon juice and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add prawns and heat through, being careful not to overcook.
