Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3/4 lb lean ground beef
- 3/4 lb ground pork
- 1 tsp fresh orange zest
- 1 tsp fresh lime zest
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 slices thin smoked ham
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 3 tbsp mayo
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 16 dill pickle slices
- 4 hamburger buns (I suggest a sturdy bun because this is a hearty burger)
Instruction
- Pre-heat grill to medium heat. Mix the mayo and mustard together and set aside.
- Add beef, pork, zest, and seasoning to a medium bowl. Mix by hand until everything is evenly mixed.
- Pat four burgers. Place burgers on the grill and grill 5 minutes per side. Once burger temperature has reached 150°F. Place ham and cheese on the burger. Allow the cheese to melt and burger to reach 160°F.
- Remove burgers from grill. Spread the mayo/mustard sauce evenly on all burger buns. Add pickles, and place burgers on the buns.
