  • ¾ cup (180 ml) warm milk
  • 1 ½ tsp instant yeast

  • 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) orange blossom water or grated zest of 2 oranges
  • 3 ¼ cups (490 g) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (105 g) sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (105 g) sugar, plus more for sprinkling
