Ingredients

The following ingredients have 3 Servings
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup Italian style bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3-4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
  • 24 ounce pasta sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz cooked Rotini pasta

Instruction

  • Pour the sauce into a 6 or (affiliate link) 7 quart crock pot.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Beat the egg and milk in a medium size bowl.
  • Pour the bread crumbs on a plate.
  • Dip each piece of chicken in the egg and milk mixture. Immediately dredge the chicken in the bread crumbs turning to coat both sides.
  • Place the piece of chicken in the crock pot. Repeat with the remaining pieces of chicken.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over each piece of chicken.
  • Place the cover on the slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Chicken is done when the center of each piece of chicken has reached 165 F. on a (affiliate link) meat thermometer.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through place each piece of chicken on a cookie sheet, reserving the sauce in the crock pot. Sprinkle the top of each piece of chicken with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in a 375 F. degree oven until the cheese has melted.
  • Serve chicken on a bed of cooked pasta and spoon some of the sauce from the crock pot over the chicken.
