Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoon walnuts
  • 3 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup light margarine, melted
  • 3 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  • In a food processor or blender, combine oatmeal and walnuts; process until consistency is like flour.
  • Place oatmeal mixture in a shallow dish, add brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Place margarine in another shallow dish.
  • Dip apple slices in margarine, then in oatmeal mixture, coating completely. Place on wire rack.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
