Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 10 oz fresh or frozen spinach
  • 2 tbsp pastured butter
  • 2 tbsp onion ((diced))
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese ((grated))
  • salt ((to taste))
  • black pepper ((to taste))

Instruction

  • Dice the onion and mince the garlic.
  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the onion to the pan and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the minced garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the spinach and cream cheese and cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the cream cheese to completely melt and mix with the spinach.
  • Add the chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook an additional 3-5 minutes.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • If you prefer the creamed spinach to contain less liquid, let the broth simmer for a little longer.
