Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 3 lbs. Yukon Gold potatoes (, peeled and cut in chunks)
  • 6 cloves garlic (, peeled and rough chopped in large pieces)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (, softened)
  • 4 Tbs. butter (, melted)
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instruction

  • Fill pot with potatoes, garlic and enough cold water to cover by 1-inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil 20 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the potato water.
  • Mash potato mixture with reserved potato water. Add cream cheese, butter, kosher salt and pepper. Continue mashing until smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer to serving dish and top with additional melted butter, if desired.
