Ingredients
The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon ground mace
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 pound cooked lump crabmeat
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
Instruction
- Place milk, lemon zest, mustard, mace, and nutmeg in a non-reactive metal bowl (stainless steel recommended) over simmering water. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add crabmeat, half-and-half, butter, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring often.
- Add cracker crumbs and sherry. Stir and cook for 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
