Ingredients

The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 1 box(es) butter or vanilla cake mix
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup(s) sour cream
  • 3/4 cup(s) oil
  • CREAM CHEESE LAYER
  • 1 package(s) cream cheese, 8 oz
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • FROSTING
  • 2 package(s) cream cheese, 8 oz
  • 1/2 cup(s) butter
  • 3 cup(s) powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoon(s) whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Instruction

  • Mix together box cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and oil.
  • Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.
  • Pour batter into the pan. Set aside.
  • Mix together cream cheese, egg, and sugar.
  • Then add vanilla.
  • Layer this mixture evenly over the top of the cake batter bringing it almost to the edge of the pan.
  • Bake cake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Let cool and prepare the frosting.
  • For frosting, cream butter and cream cheese.
  • Add sugar a cup at a time.
  • Then whipping cream and vanilla.
  • Beat until light and fluffy about three minutes.
  • Frost the cake.
  • If making cupcakes, fill cupcake liner about halfway. Put a teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the middle of the batter. Cook at 350 for 20 minutes.
