Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup butter (cut into pieces)
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 cups cranberries
- ¾ cup cream
- 2 Tablespoons cream (for brushing on scones)
- ⅔ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Place flour, butter, baking powder, sugar and salt into a food processor. Pulse 4-5 times until mixture is crumbly.
- Add cranberries. Pulse another 4-5 times.
- Add 3/4 cup cream. Mix for 15 seconds, just until mixture comes together. Dough will be crumbly.
- Pour dough onto a large board or counter. Knead 4-5 times to bring everything together. Work dry pieces into the dough. Form dough into a ball.
- Sprinkle a bit of flour onto the counter and then flatten dough into an 8 inch circle.
- Slice into 8 wedges
- Place wedges on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Wedges should be placed about 1/2" apart.
- Brush with cream
- Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and baked through
- Remove to a cooling rack
