- 100 g spaghetti or linguine (or pasta of choice)
- 1 courgette, roughly grated or chopped
- a pinch of chilli flakes
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- leaves from a few sprigs of basil
- Parmesan cheese, grated, to serve
- 2 tbsp pine nuts, toasted, to serve
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- grated zest and juice of ½ small unwaxed lemon
- 1 banana shallot or 2–3 smaller shallots, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
