Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup Quick-Cooking Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ripe sliced banana (, divided)
- 1/4 cup sliced or chopped toasted almonds (, divided)
- 1/4 cup chopped semi-sweet chocolate (, divided)
- 1/3 cup heavy cream (or vanilla almond milk) (, divided)
Instruction
- In a medium pot, bring the almond milk and water to a boil. Add in the oats and salt; reduce heat to a gentle simmer (about medium-low), cover and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired doneness is achieved.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Divide into bowls, topped with some sliced banana, almonds, chocolate pieces, and a couple tablespoons heavy cream.
