Ingredients

The following ingredients have 9 Servings
  • 4 tbsp butter (softened, divided)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (mixed)
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • Mix together 3 tbsp butter, sugar, egg, milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
  • Melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter in the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking pan. Pour the batter into the pan.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar on top of the batter, use a toothpick or fork to swirl the cinnamon and sugar into the batter.
  • Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Pull the cake out of the oven and make the vanilla glaze while the cake cools slightly.
  • Mix together all of the glaze ingredients until smooth. Pour over the cake and serve warm.
