Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups oat flour (grind raw oats in a blender or food processor to make flour)
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds
- 3/4 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 4 large egg whites (1/2 cup, beaten till foamy)
- 3 cups chopped apple (about 2 medium apples, I used pink ladies)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup water
Instruction
- Preheat waffle maker and spray with a nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine all dry ingredients (oat flour through sea salt) in a medium bowl.
- Add vanilla and almond milk to flour mixture; stir until smooth.
- Beat egg whites for a couple of minutes and until light and foamy. Gently fold egg whites into batter.
- Cook batter in preheated waffle iron according to waffle maker instructions.
- While waffles are cooking, make warm apple topping.
