Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 125g butter chopped softened
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup plain flour sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tbs almond meal
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 pears chopped cored peeled
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 1/2 tbs brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 60g butter chopped softened
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 160C.
- Beat butter, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until pale and creamy.
- Gradually add the eggs and beat well.
- Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and almond meal, and beat to combine.
- Fold through the milk and pears.
- To make the topping, combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
- Add the butter rub it into the flour mixture with fingertips.
- Line the base of a lightly greased round spring-form cake tin with baking paper.
- Spoon in cake mixture and top with crumble.
- Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
- Allow to cool in the tin.
