Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- Dry ingredients (to layer in the gift jar)
- 3/4 cup 180 ml all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp 1 ml kosher salt
- 1/3 cup 80 ml dark cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup 180 ml brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup 125 ml cane sugar
- 1/2 cup 125 ml dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup 60 ml chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup 60 ml butterscotch chips
- Wet ingredients (to mix in before baking)
- 1/2 cup 125 ml water
- 1/2 cup 125 ml canola oil
- 2 eggs
- To serve (optional)
- Butterscotch sauce
- Edible glitter stars
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Butter an 8-inch (20-cm) square baking dish and line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together. Add the water, canola oil and eggs and mix with a whisk until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs stuck to it. Let cool completely.
- To serve, drizzle with butterscotch sauce and sprinkle with edible glitter stars. Cut into squares and enjoy!
