Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- ½ cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Cocoa Krispies cereal (optional)
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped fine
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large glass bowl place chocolate and shortening and microwave for a few minutes until the two ingredients melt together. Use a wooden spoon and stir.
- Add sugar and stir to combine. Add eggs and stir to combine. Add salt, flour and vanilla and stir to combine. Add optional Cocoa Krispies and stir to combine.
- Butter and flour a quarter sheet pan (9×13-inch) and spread batter to all edges and smooth on top.
- Sprinkle with the nuts and bake for 15-18 minutes until the center has a tooth pick come out clean when inserted.
- Cut into 24 pieces right in the pan then once cool, use a spatula and move to a rack to cool further.
