Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 1 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
- 1¼ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup dark cocoa powder
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp. coarse salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- powder sugar
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350˚ F.
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large bowl if you are using a hand electric mixer, add the butter and sugar.
- On medium speed beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes.
- Blend in the eggs one at a time, scraping down the bowl as needed.
- Mix in the cocoa powder until well blended.
- Add the rest of the dry ingredients; flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix at low speed just until incorporated.
- Scoop out a tablespoon of chocolate crinkle cookie dough using a cookie scoop and using your hands shape dough it into 1-inch balls.
- Pour the powdered sugar on to a plate and roll the ball into the powder sugar.
- Place the cookie dough ball on a cookie sheet. Repeat until all of the chocolate crinkles cookie dough is used up and all of the cookies are on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake 12-16 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
