Ingredients
The following ingredients have 1 Servings
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (28 grams) (melted)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (packed, light or dark is fine)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk (discard the white)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour (47 grams) (equivalent to 1/4 cup plus 2 extra tablespoons)
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (divided)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350F (180C) degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat.
- In a small bowl whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until the butter no longer looks separate.
- Whisk in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Whisk in the flour and baking soda.
- Stir in 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips. There will be 1 tablespoon remaining.
- Form the dough into a ball about 3/4 - 1 inch thick.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the top looks golden brown. Remove from the oven and place a few extra chocolate chips on top of the warm cookie.
