Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 125 g butter
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 2 egg
- 1 tbs golden syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 2 tbs cocoa powder
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 1/2 tbs cocoa powder
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 1/2 tsp hot water
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a 20 cm square or round shaped tin.
- Line base of tin with greased waxed paper.
- Beat butter, sugar and eggs until smooth and creamy. Stir in golden syrup and vanilla essence.
- Beat in the milk. Sift in the flour and cocoa. Then beat until combined.
- Spread evenly in the prepared tin. Bake for 45-55 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 10-17 minutes.
- Beat icing ingredients together, then ice cake.
