Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 kg beef mince
  • 1 brown onion diced
  • 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 egg
  • 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 570 g tomato pasta sauce
  • 250 g fettuccine
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chilli crushed
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp chives
  • 1 pinch chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese fresh shaved

Instruction

  • Whisk eggs in a large bowl. Add garlic, oregano, basil, crushed chilli, salt and chives. Mix well.
  • Add minced beef, mix thoroughly.
  • In a separate bowl, using a fork, toss together flour, chilli powder, black pepper and parmesan cheese.
  • Roll beef mixture into walnut-sized balls.
  • Heat a little oil in a large frypan.
  • Fry diced onion in frypan until almost translucent.
  • Toss each beef-ball in flour mixture, then place in frypan.
  • Fry beef-balls until brown, turning occasionally.
  • Cook fettuccine according to packet instructions.
  • When beef balls are browned, add tomato pasta sauce and stir occasionally until thickening. Let simmer for as long as possible without drying or burning.
  • Serve beef balls on top of fettucine with a sprinkle of extra parmesan.
