Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 medium boneless skinless chicken halves
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms (rinsed well)
  • 4 slices bacon (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 cup Marsala Cooking wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

Instruction

  • Place the chicken breast into the bottom of a large crock pot.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with the salt, pepper and parsley flakes.
  • Sprinkle the sliced mushrooms, sliced or diced bacon, and minced garlic over the chicken.
  • Pour the cooking wine over the chicken.
  • In a small bowl mix the cornstarch with the chicken broth until all lumps are dissolved. Pour it over the chicken.
  • Slow Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours. Chicken is done when it is no longer pink in the center and reaches 165 F. on a digital thermometer. (Oven cooking directions below)
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles or cooked white rice.
