Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup green salsa
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 8 - 10 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying
  • For sour cream and salsa dipping

Instruction

  • In a medium bowl combine all the ingredients except for the tortillas. Blend well.
  • Place 1/2-1/4 cup of chicken mixture down the lower third of the tortilla and roll up tightly. Place seam side down on a plate. repeat with remaining tortillas.
  • In a skillet pour enough oil so that the entire bottom of the pan is coated. When oil is warm carefully place one or two taquitos seam side down in the oil and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until browned.
  • Let taquitos slightly cool and slice in half to serve. Dip in salsa and sour cream.
