Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 1/3 Cup Dark Brown Sugar (packed)
- 1/3 Cup White Sugar (plus extra for rolling)
- 1/3 Cup Molasses
- 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 large Egg
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
- 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instruction
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter, sugars and molasses. Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Sift the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients and stir until combined. The cookie dough should be soft.
- Fold in the chocolate chips. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Shape 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough into a ball. Roll each cookie ball in white sugar and place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until they crinkle and feel set at the edges when gently pressed.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
