Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1/3 Cup Dark Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1/3 Cup White Sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1/3 Cup Molasses
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instruction

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter, sugars and molasses. Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • Sift the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients and stir until combined. The cookie dough should be soft.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Shape 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough into a ball. Roll each cookie ball in white sugar and place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until they crinkle and feel set at the edges when gently pressed.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
