Ingredients

The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 1¼ cup flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup butter, cubed and chilled
  • 3 Tbsp cold water
  • 2 Tbsp brandy
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ¼ cup tart cherry juice concentrate
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instruction

  • To make crust Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add water and brandy, and toss with a fork until liquid is well distributed. Gather into a ball, and roll out on a lightly floured surface to a 12-inch circle. Fit into a pie tin, and flute edges. To make filling In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, and salt. Beat in eggs, butter, cherry juice, and vanilla.. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. To make pie Pour mixture into an unbaked pie shell. Bake for 40-50 minutes. The pie should be chewy but not runny. If pie still appears runny, bake longer until it appears set. Serve pie slices with whipped cream topped with a cherry.
