Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapenos (chopped and drained (plus more for garnish))
  • 1 4-oz. can diced green chilies, drained
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 8 oz. Cabot Pepper Jack cheese (grated)
  • 4 oz. Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 loaf French bread (sliced horizontally)
  • green onions (chopped)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Using a small bowl, add butter, olive oil, garlic, jalapenos, chilies, salt, Pepper Jack and cheddar; stir until well combined.
  • Spread mixture onto both halves of the French bread and lay bread on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Lay several whole pickled jalapenos on top of the bread.
  • Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until cheese has fully melted.
  • {Optional} Broil on high heat for 2-3 minutes, or until edges of bread turn crispy. (Note: Watch this stage very carefully to prevent bread from burning!)
  • Sprinkle top with green onions and slice into 1” pieces for serving.
