Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 pounds lean ground beef
  • taco seasoning (1 packet or 3 tablespoons homemade)
  • .5 cups water (or beef broth)
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Mexican blend or cheddar, Colby Jack or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup chunky tomato salsa

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cook ground beef in a medium skillet until no longer pink, drain grease if needed
  • Add taco seasoning and water, and simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat
  • Add meat to greased 2 quart casserole dish, and mix in 1 cup shredded cheese, cream cheese and salsa
  • Spread mixture evenly in dish, smooth with spoon, and top with remaining shredded cheese
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and cheese is melted
  • Remove from oven, and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
