The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 375 g ready-made puff pastry sheet
- 1 egg
- 75 g cheddar cheese
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 200°C (Gas mark 6/390°F). Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet and use a crown shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many crown shapes as you can.
- Place the pastry crowns on the baking sheets, leaving space between them to allow for spreading.
- Break the egg into a small bowl and lightly whisk. Brush the pastry crowns with the egg.
- Finely grate the cheddar cheese. Scatter the grated cheese over each pastry crown.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the crowns are puffed up and the cheese is golden.
- Serve your cheese crowns warm, or cool them on a baking rack. Once completely cold, store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
