Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 310 g self-raising flour
- 3 tbs butter
- 2 tsp dried parsley flaked
- 1 tsp dried chives
- 250 g tasty cheese grated
- 2 bacon rashers cooked diced
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Combine flour with cubed butter in a bowl, rub together with fingers to create coarse breadcrumb consistency.
- Stir in parsley, chives, cheese and bacon.
- In separate bowl, combine egg and milk. Stir egg mixture into dry ingredients and mix to a soft dough.
- Turn onto lightly floured board and knead lightly. Form into a cob loaf.
- Place loaf onto baking tray lined with grease-proof paper.
- Cut a deep cross into loaf, brush with milk. Bake for 30 minutes or until risen and golden.
