Ingredients
The following ingredients have 9 Servings
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, (cold)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 cup buttermilk*
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F, and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Place the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt in a large bowl and stir to combine.
- Cut the butter into the flour mixture, until only pea-sized pieces remain.
- Stir in the shredded cheese and chives.
- Add the buttermilk, and stir until the dough gathers itself into a ball.
- Drop 1/4-cup sized balls of biscuit dough onto the prepared baking sheets, allowing a few inches in between for spreading.
- Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottoms.
- Serve warm.
