Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 3 Tbsp butter
- ½ Red onion (chopped)
- 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 2 Cups chicken stock
- ½ Cup beer
- 1 Cup milk
- 1 Cup broccoli florets
- 1 Cup white cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 Tsp paprika
- ½ Tsp oregano
- ½ Tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instruction
- Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more or until fragrant.
- Add flour and cook for 2 minutes, mixing constantly.
- Slowly incorporate stock, beer and milk, mixing well after each addition and making sure there are no lumps left.
- Season with paprika, oregano and onion powder and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Incorporate broccoli florets and cook for 20 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
- Add white cheddar cheese and cook for 2 more minutes or until fully melted. Remove from fire and rectify with salt and pepper.
