Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • ½ Red onion (chopped)
  • 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 2 Cups chicken stock
  • ½ Cup beer
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1 Cup broccoli florets
  • 1 Cup white cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 Tsp paprika
  • ½ Tsp oregano
  • ½ Tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  • Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more or until fragrant.
  • Add flour and cook for 2 minutes, mixing constantly.
  • Slowly incorporate stock, beer and milk, mixing well after each addition and making sure there are no lumps left.
  • Season with paprika, oregano and onion powder and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Incorporate broccoli florets and cook for 20 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  • Add white cheddar cheese and cook for 2 more minutes or until fully melted. Remove from fire and rectify with salt and pepper.
