Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 1 cup rolled oats/porridge oats
  • ¾ cup milk (any)
  • ¾ cup water
  • ⅓ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅕ teaspoon ground ginger and cardamom (each)
  • ⅙ teaspoon ground cloves and nutmeg
  • 2-3 teaspoons sugar (or maple syrup)
  • A good pinch of fine sea salt and black pepper

Instruction

  • In a saucepan combine the oats with the water, milk, spices, seasoning and sugar.
  • Bring to the boil then lower the heat and cook for 3 minutes or until the porridge is thick and creamy, stirring often.
  • Remove from the heat, top with your favourite fruit and serve.
