- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 bartlett pears (core removed & thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 round sourdough bread loaf
- 7 oz round brie cheese
- 2 tbsp honey
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Place the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Once the butter has melted, add the pears and brown sugar.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pears are caramelized.
- Meanwhile, slice the top ½ inch off of the round of sourdough bread.
- Cut a circle the size of the brie from the middle of the sourdough loaf, being careful not to cut through to the bottom of the loaf.
- Place the brie in the middle of the loaf.
- Top with the caramelized pears, then drizzle with the honey.
- Place on a baking dish and cover with the top slice of bread.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and slice the top piece of bread into cubes to serve with the brie for dipping.
- Cut slits every inch along the edge of the bread bowl, for easy pulling apart and dipping.
