Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups roasted hazelnuts (peeled)
- 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 2 cups hot coffee or espresso
- 1 Pint Ice Cream
- Wafers (optional)
Instruction
- For Caramelized Hazelnuts
- Preheat oven to 300 Degrees Fahrenheit
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
- In a heavy bottomed pot heat the sugar and water together on medium heat. Don't stir
- When the caramel turns amber in color, add the hazelnuts and mix well until coated
- Throw the hazelnuts in the sheet pan
- Bake for 20-25 minutes mixing them every 5-7 minutes
- Let it cool and enjoy!
- For Affogato:
- Place ice cream, wafers and hazelnuts in a glass, cup, mug or bowl
- Pour hot coffee over this mixture
- Enjoy!
