Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 180 g butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 pear large peeled quartered
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 egg
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup almond meal
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1/3 cup milk
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 180C and grease and line a 23cm springform cake tin.
- Melt 60g of the butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar.
- Stir over low heat until it is well combined.
- Pour into base of baking tin.
- Arrange pears, curved side down, in a fan like pattern around tin.
- Cream butter and sugar, then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Mix until combined.
- Pour mixture over pears and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Allow to sit for 10 minutes before turning out.
- Serve with whipped cream.
