- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- Pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup toasted nuts (such as slivered almonds or pistachios)
- 1 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 quart whole milk
- 12 egg yolks
