Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups cooked and cooled rice
  • 3 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1.5 cups chopped capsicums
  • salt (to taste)
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper powder (15 black peppercorns powdered)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves (for garnish)

Instruction

  • Cook and cool the rice thoroughly.
  • Heat a pan with 3 tablespoons butter or oil. Add bay leaf, cloves and cumin seeds. Saute well.
  • Add finely chopped onions and saute till soft.
  • Next add chopped capsicums. Add salt, pepper powder and mix well.
  • Saute in high flame for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add cooked and cooled rice and toss gently.
  • Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve with raita.
