Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1- 15(ounce) can Black Beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 c. Oats
  • 1 Plum Tomato, small dice
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instruction

  • Pulse the oats in a food processor or blender until fine.
  • In a large bowl, combine the beans, oats, tomatoes, basil, garlic and cheese; mashing some of the beans with the back of a fork. Mix well and form into four equal size burgers. 
  • Heat the oil in a large saute pan over medium-high heat; then add the burgers to the pan.
  • Cook 2-3 minutes per side until the burgers are lightly browned on each side; then remove from the oil and drain on a plate lined with paper towels to remove any excess oil.
