Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 cups ripe cubed cantaloupe (from a 3–4 pound melon)
  • ¼ cup honey (plus more to taste)
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Instruction

  • Combine all ingredients with ¾ cup water in a blender and purée until smooth. Add more honey to taste.
  • Prepare a large loaf pan or 8×8 pan; line with parchment paper. Pour the mixture in and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  • After frozen hard, scrape off the top (or shave with a spoon), which will be icy. Serve in a small dish; garnish with mint (optional).
  • The shaved ice will keep in the freezer for up to 1 month.
