  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 8 small carrots cleaned and diced
  • 3 celery stalks washed and diced
  • 4 small walla onions cleaned and chopped fine
  • 1 leek washed and chopped fine
  • 1 small rutabaga peeled and diced
  • 1 large potato peeled and diced
  • 2 cups yellow split peas
  • 1 1/2 cups diced roasted maple ham
  • 4 1/2 cups vegetable stock
  • fine sea salt to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper
  • Pinch of paprika
  • 1/2 tsp crushed dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Pinch of red chili flakes
  • 2 small bay leaves
  • Fresh chopped parsley
