Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 pounds (1kg) whole button mushrooms
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- cracked sea salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste )
- fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
- Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a damp paper towel and trim the stems.
- Place the mushrooms in a large bowl.
- In a measuring cup with a spout, mix together the melted butter, garlic, thyme and olive oil.
- Pour the mixture over the mushrooms in the bowl, and toss the mushrooms to coat completely. Season with the desired amount of salt and pepper, then toss again.
- Turn the mushrooms out of the bowl onto a large baking sheet, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl for any remaining sauce and spices. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, then mix and flip with a spatula. Continue to roast for another 10-15 minutes until the mushrooms reach the desired tenderness. Baking time will depend on how large your mushrooms are.
- Remove from the oven and if desired sprinkle with fresh thyme or parsley as a garnish
- Serve.
