Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 pounds (1kg) whole button mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • cracked sea salt (to taste)
  • black pepper (to taste )
  • fresh thyme or parsley for garnish

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
  • Clean the mushrooms by wiping with a damp paper towel and trim the stems.
  • Place the mushrooms in a large bowl.
  • In a measuring cup with a spout, mix together the melted butter, garlic, thyme and olive oil.
  • Pour the mixture over the mushrooms in the bowl, and toss the mushrooms to coat completely. Season with the desired amount of salt and pepper, then toss again.
  • Turn the mushrooms out of the bowl onto a large baking sheet, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl for any remaining sauce and spices. Arrange the mushrooms in a single layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, then mix and flip with a spatula. Continue to roast for another 10-15 minutes until the mushrooms reach the desired tenderness. Baking time will depend on how large your mushrooms are.
  • Remove from the oven and if desired sprinkle with fresh thyme or parsley as a garnish
  • Serve.
