Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, (melted)
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 cup toffee bits, (plus more for sprinkling on top)
- flaked sea salt (optional) (for sprinkling on top)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees and spray a 9"x13" baking dish with non stick cooking spray (Bakers Joy), set aside. Or, line baking dish with parchment paper for easiest removal.
- In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
- In another bowl beat together melted butter, and both sugars.
- Beat this mixture until fully combined.
- Add in eggs, vanilla extract and rum extract.
- Beat this mixture until incorporated.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, fold this mixture together until just combined.
- Fold in the toffee bits until blended.
- Spread batter into prepared pan and top with extra toffee bits and salt if desired and bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden.
- Notes: Cool completely before slicing and serving.
