Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, (melted)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 cup toffee bits, (plus more for sprinkling on top)
  • flaked sea salt (optional) (for sprinkling on top)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350F degrees and spray a 9"x13" baking dish with non stick cooking spray (Bakers Joy), set aside. Or, line baking dish with parchment paper for easiest removal.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
  • In another bowl beat together melted butter, and both sugars.
  • Beat this mixture until fully combined.
  • Add in eggs, vanilla extract and rum extract.
  • Beat this mixture until incorporated.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, fold this mixture together until just combined.
  • Fold in the toffee bits until blended.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan and top with extra toffee bits and salt if desired and bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden.
  • Notes: Cool completely before slicing and serving.
