Ingredients

The following ingredients have 10 Servings
  • 10 baguette slices
  • 20 cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 green chilies finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 6-7 basil leaves (torn well)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

Instruction

  • Get your baguette or loaf cut into thick slices.
  • Rub some olive oil on both sides of bread slices and arrange in a baking tray. Toast in the preheated oven at 180C for 7 minutes
  • In the mean time add in the halved cheery tomatoes, finely chopped onions, torn basil leaves and finely chopped green chilies to a mixing bowl. Add salt, dried parsley and 1 teaspoon olive oil. You can add chili flakes as well. Mix well and toss very well.
  • Take the toasted slices and spoon in the prepared topping on each slice.
  • Return back to the oven and bake for 5-7 more minutes till the bread turns olden brown and tomato wilts.
  • Serve bruschetta warm with tea or any chilled drink.
