Ingredients

The following ingredients have 18 Servings
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instruction

  • Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or butter or non-stick spray.
  • Stir milk, brown sugar and butter together in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Remove from heat and use a hand mixer to beat in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt and walnuts. Beat until just thickened.
  • Pour/transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and let cool until set.
  • When ready to serve, slice into squares and enjoy.
