Ingredients
The following ingredients have 10 Servings
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
- 1 vanilla bean (the seeds scraped)
- 2 ounce bags mini marshmallows (10)
- 8 1/2 cups rice krispies
- 1-1/2 cups nutella
Instruction
- Grease two 9x13 inch pans.
- In a large, heavy-bottomed pot add the butter and vanilla bean seeds, melt butter over medium heat until just browned. Butter will melt, foam, and froth, then begin to brown along the bottom. Whisk browned bits off of the bottom of the pan. Just as the butter begins to brown, add the marshmallows and turn off the heat. Stir the marshmallows around until completely melted, about five minutes. If the marshmallows are not fully melting turn the heat back on to low and stir until smooth and melted.
- Add the Rice Krispies and coat them completely in marshmallows.
- Press 2/3 of the mixture into the prepared 9×13 pans. Press the remaining mixture into the other 9x13 pan, it will not fully cover the entire pan. This is fine, you want those holes!
- Now take the Nutella and spread it all over the full 9x13 inch pan (the one with 2/3 of the Rice Krispies).
- The remaining un-full pan of Rice Krispies should be firm by now, pop it out of the pan and lay it over the layer of Nutella. Press down so some of the Nutella oozes through the cracks. Let sit for at least an hour at room temperature before slicing.
